My name is Alina, and this is my portfolio. I write short fiction, non-fiction essays, and add my own illustrations (and the occasional photograph) to combine my creative and investigative interests. 

I created this portfolio as a way to share my passion projects and make an impact. Though, it also exists as a record of the work I have put together through long nights of dedication. It is a place for the stories I care about, filled with my art and my words, the questions I want to ask, and the satisfaction of being able to say, simply: “I did that.”

I will be publishing works of short-fiction, mainly in the genres of sci-fi and horror, though I will write wherever my imagination takes me. In the field of journalism, I have particular interest in environmental, political, and international topics. However, I’ve chosen not to limit this portfolio to a single focus, allowing curiosity to guide each project. 

While I’ve been writing for many years, I am still learning how to share my work. My hope is that this portfolio becomes a record of growth—each piece an opportunity to learn, refine, and connect. Thank you for reading!
